[Alpha Biz= Kim Sang Jin] K-pop stars made a strong impression at the Met Gala, the world’s most prestigious fashion charity event, held on May 4 (local time) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
According to Yonhap News, BLACKPINK members Jennie Kim and Jisoo, along with aespa’s Karina and Ningning, attended the event, drawing global attention.
Global Fashion Event with Star-Studded Lineup
First launched in 1948, the Met Gala is held annually on the first Monday of May and is known for its high-profile guest list and bold fashion statements.
This year’s event also featured international stars such as Beyoncé, Sam Smith, and Doja Cat.
BLACKPINK and aespa Showcase Distinct Styles
BLACKPINK members stood out with their individual styles—Jennie and Jisoo appeared in pastel-toned dresses paired with elegant updos, while Rosé and Lisa opted for contrasting black-and-white ensembles.
Beyond BLACKPINK, aespa’s Karina and Ningning also captured attention, highlighting K-pop’s growing influence on the global fashion stage.
Additionally, voice actors from Netflix’s animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters—including singer Lee Jae and actor Ahn Hyo-seop—were also in attendance, further underscoring the expanding global footprint of Korean entertainment.
