[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Theborn Korea (475560), led by celebrity chef and entrepreneur Baek Jong-won, has pledged a comprehensive overhaul of its organizational culture and operational systems in the wake of recent controversies.

On Tuesday, the company released an official statement on its website titled, “We Will Change Everything: Full-Scale Innovation to Restore Customer Trust.”

“We feel a heavy sense of responsibility over recent incidents, including inappropriate conduct by employees involved in regional projects and hygiene management issues at event venues,” the statement read. “We are now pursuing fundamental reforms, both internally and externally.”

The company’s reform plan is divided into three categories:

- Establishment of an Audit and Risk Management Unit, and Enhanced External Communications

- Cultural Innovation and Strengthened Accountability

- Complete Overhaul of Food Safety and Hygiene Management Systems

Theborn Korea will create a new audit and risk management team directly under CEO Baek’s supervision to strengthen internal oversight. A separate public relations team will also be formed to improve communication with the public.

In addition, the company plans to implement employee training programs aimed at reforming workplace culture and boosting individual accountability.

The statement also addressed the controversy involving a regional project staff member allegedly involved in a “drinking interview” scenario. The employee has been immediately removed from their duties, and Theborn Korea stated it will take strict disciplinary action based on the results of an investigation by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
